He recently ordered ByteDance, the Chinese owner of TikTok, to either sell its US assets or face a ban. Trump had also cited India's restrictions on the social media app to justify the decision. ByteDance has been given a 90-day window. At a recent press briefing, he was asked if the government would take similar action against Chinese giants like Baidu and Alibaba.
